New year. Everyone today is the first day of 2018. Its also the year year of the dog so today ill be showing you how to draw courage cowardly dog.
Were gonna get started at the top my page with the eyebrows. So the eyebrows are turned up and in so lets start the left side on the outside of the eyebrow. I were to curve up and then in were leave a gap in the side.
And do the same thing on the right side so we start on the inside curve down. And then out on the inside edge and draw two angled lines going outwards now. I just want to take the top and curve down towards the bottom so were gonna taper down towards the bottom and then were gonna fill the eyebrows in black music now from here.
I want to talk the eyes underneath. The eyebrow. So there are two large ovals when leave a little overlap on the outside so im gonna step in curve down towards the bottom of the oval and well pull that back up again leaving a little bit of space up along the top.
Were gonna do the same thing on the right side so stepping in curve down towards the bottom of the eye and then well pull that back up now on the bottom edge of the eye rendre thatll give an eye bag. So the left side on the inside of the eye. Where its gonna curve down and pull it out toward the left and on the right will curve down and then out towards the right.
Now. Lets go ahead and draw two small ovals for the pupils so on the left eye. Were just gonna shift this over towards the right by drawing a little oval now on the right side and draw this one right in the middle of the large oval and then along the top and off tiny oval just tucked up against the top edge for the highlight and well color the bottom area in black do the same thing on the right side music now.
Were gonna move down and draw the note so you enjoy just directly below the left eye. So we start with a curve from left to right going up and then down now to take the ends and curve down toward the center point starting on the left will curve down and in to right about there go incur it back up on the right side. Lets add a little bit of shading to the nose.
So ive started a top left corner curve down and across towards the right now. Were to taper this back in towards the left. And it will curve back up towards the right top corner.
Were going to fill the bottom area in black music. Now that weve drawn in the eyes. In the notes.
We can join the outside edge of the face so we start on the left side of the eye curved out and then down on top of the nose. Weve got a little bit of an overlap here. Now lets draw the left side muzzle for the top corner of the nose are gonna step down curve out towards the left now were gonna pull this up in the middle just on the left of the bottom point now.
We do the same thing on the right so from that bottom point of the nose. We step over curve down and out towards the right curve this around and then pull that back up from the top of the muds. Were gonna draw a curve going up and out towards the right for the top of the mouth going up let me draw a little bracket at the top of this line.
So curve from left to right going over that line now from the same point.
Where curve down and then back over toward the left for the bottom of the mouth. So start by going out towards the right. Were gonna round it out and go over towards the left now were gonna tuck the tongue in behind for this point.
Where you go up and then over towards the right to the edge of the mouth now between the muzzle and the tongue. Draw a little curve now up here. Were going to draw that same curve just below it for the bottom edge of the teeth.
Im gonna draw two angled lines up in the teeth area so one on the left and then one on the right directly below the mouth right down here. We draw a little curve. Im left already coming down and then back up for the lower lip.
Thats add some whiskers. So on the left side here. Which step in from the outside of the muzzle across.
Weve step down and then were gonna cur this one down a little bit further on the right so im going to draw three little spots and fill them in black. Im gonna go up and then down lets move up above the eyes and draw on the top of the head. So right beside the inside edge of the left eyebrow.
Were crimp up now were gonna pull this down just beside the eye right down here now were gonna overlap the cheek. So we step in curve out im gonna pull this back in towards the mouth to right about there lets go to the top of the head and draw the two ears. So on the left side.
Here gonna draw a curve going up and then out towards the left we can go to the right side and draw the upper edge now this ones kind of bent over so gonna curl up first now im gonna curve down and over towards the right now lets go back to the left side. Were gonna draw the first curve of the ear so for the tip im gonna curve down and were gonna pull this back up leaving a little space along the top. Im gonna follow that same curve going in behind the head now lets go to the right side from here gonna curl down and then up amy towards that point here were gonna be a little bit of space and then were gonna follow that stayin curve going in behind the head lets add the shading to the ears.
But the tip of the left ear when it curve down and then back up towards the top. We do the same thing over here so from this corner. Here.
Were going to curve down and then up towards the tip of the year now. Were gonna fill in the bottom area of the ears in black music music okay. So now that weve drawn in the head.
Lets work in the body. Now the body is curved almost like a hot dog so we start at the bottom tip of the nose. When it curve down and then out curving or slightly towards the right.
And then back over towards the left. Now the body rounds out along the bottom here so starting here. Were gonna blend into a curve going the opposite direction.
Now we want to stop right here.
Because i want to leave enough room for the link now lets go to the right side and join the outer part of the body so in fall that seeing curve just under the cheeks. We step up on that same curve going to the right and then down to right back youre gonna layer the arm on top. So if i lets put im going to step in curve over the line and then down.
Were gonna step down and draw that same curve going across now were gonna add three fingers from the bottom line. Youll go out and then back in almost like a little half circle from the top go in the opposite direction. Now were gonna connect these two points with another small half circle.
I want to continue the line of the body in behind the arm and then down towards legs. So again were gonna leave a little space down here so lets follow this line coming down and then bring it over towards the left right towards my finger lets overlap. The leg on top of the body so from this inner point.
Were gonna step up curve across and then over were to step over towards the right draw the same curve. Im just gonna close off this gap at the bottom here now whats similar to what we did with the hands. Were gonna do with the feet for the inside line.
Im gonna do a little half circle going out and then back in on the outside. Well go in the opposite direction. Now were gonna connect those two points.
With another half circle coming down. We take that same leg and just duplicate it on the left side. Here.
Lets start with a curve going out and back in were step in and draw that same curve now lets draw the same totes from the outside within that little half circle from the inside. We go in the opposite direction and it will connect the bottom with another half circle. Were gonna draw the left arm tucked in behind the body so were gonna basically take this and flip it over so its the line at the top of the arm curving down and then out were going to step down draw that same curve now were drawing the fingers on the outside.
Were going to draw a little half circle and for the inside. Well go in the opposite direction. And itll connect the bottoms with another half circle on the side of the body just below the arm.
Im gonna add a little spot so in the side of the bottom going to go out. And well just pull that back in so its like a half oval. Were gonna fill that in black and then directly below the spot on the style the ball.
Im going to add the tail. So we start with an ankle line going up were going to taper that back down now. Were gonna go down in an angle right down pull that back in now from here gonna go down an angle and were gonna pull this back up in behind the body and thats pretty much it there we have it theres courage.
